Amminadab

Meaning: kindred of the prince.

This was the name of three biblical men:

1. Father-in-law of Aaron, his daughter Elisheba was married to Aaron (Ex. 6:23). He was the father of Nahshon, who was chief of the tribe of Judah (Num. 1:7; 2:3; 7:12, 17; 10:14). He was in the lineage of Ruth (Ruth 4:18-20; 1 Chr. 2:10; Matt. 1:4; Luke 3:33).

2. A son of Kohath, the second son of Levi (1 Chr. 6:22), also called Izhar (2, 18).

3. Chief of the 112 descendants of Uzziel the Levite, his father (1 Chr. 15:10,11).
