Milcah

Meaning: Counsel

This was the name of two biblical women.

1. wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother / She was the grandmother of beautiful Rebekah who married Isaac the long-awaited promised son of Abraham (Genesis 11:29, 22:20)

2. Milcah is notable for having helped win the right for daughters to inherit their father's land. She was the daughter of Zelophehad, son of Hepher (Numbers 26:33, 27:1). Zelophehad had all daughters and no sons. Milcah's sisters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, and Tirzah.
